These terms explain how our website works and how we sell our products. By using our site or placing an order, you’re agreeing to these terms. 

Who we are

The Trustee for AJQ Trust trading as MEEKA WORLD (ABN 83 907 865 078) (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Where these terms apply

• Our website: www.meekaworld.com and any site we run on the same domain.
• Any purchase you make from us online.

We may update these terms at any time by changing this page. The version that applies to your order is the one shown at checkout when you pay.

A. Buying from MEEKA WORLD

1. Placing an order:

• When you submit an order, you’re offering to buy the products in your cart.
• We’ll email you when payment is approved and your order is being processed - that’s when your order is accepted. 
• You confirm you’re over 18 (or have a parent/guardian’s permission) and authorised to use the payment method.

2. Product Information and Ownership

• We do our best to show products clearly, but colours and appearance can vary by screen.
• Ownership of goods passes to you when we’ve received full payment. 
• Risk (e.g., loss or damage in transit) passes on delivery

3. NDIS Purchases

If you are buying on behalf of an NDIS participant, it’s your responsibility to ensure the product is funded under their plan. 

4. Prices and Payment 

• Prices are in AUD and may change before you place your order.
• Unless stated otherwise, prices include GST; GST will not be added at checkout again. 
• We may apply a card surcharge for Visa/Mastercard/Amex. 
• We use trusted payment providers; their terms also apply. 
• Pricing Errors: if something’s wrong with the price (including shipping), we’ll contact you to pay the correct amount or cancel for a full refund. 

5. Shipping and Delivery

• Shipping costs are shown at checkout.
• We dispatch once full payment is received. 
• We use third-party couriers; delivery times are estimates only. We will help troubleshoot issues but aren’t liable for delays outside our control. 
• International orders: we may decline these. If accepted, you’re responsible for customs/duties and any clearance delays. 

6. Vouchers, Discount Codes and Gift Cards

• Enter codes at checkout; they can’t be applied after purchase, exchange for cash, or transferred. 
• Gift cards are redeemable on our website only and aren’t reloadable or exchangeable for cash. 

7. Changing or Cancelling Orders

• By us: we may cancel for any reason (e.g., stock or pricing error) and refund you in full. 
• By you: you can cancel before we confirm your order. After confirmation, our returns policy applies. 

8. Returns and Australian Consumer Law

We follow the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a major failure. 

• Change of mind: we don’t offer change-of-mind returns.
• If there’s a problem: contact us with your order number, description and photos. 
  • We may ask you to return the item (including accessories/manuals) for inspection.
  • If faulty: we’ll offer a refund, replacement or store credit (including reasonable return shipping).
  • If not faulty (or damage is due to misuse, fair wear and tear, or not following care/safety instructions): we’ll return it to you at your cost. 
• This policy sits alongside your non-excludable ACL rights. 

B. Using Our Website

9. Fair Use

Please use the site legally and respectfully. Don’t try to interfere with security, scrape content, overload the site, or use bots/automations to access it.

10. Information On The Site

We aim to keep information accurate and current, but we can’t guarantee the site will always be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that all content is 100% accurate. We may update product details, prices and features at any time. 

11. Intellectual Property 

All website content (text, image, logos, designs, videos, software) is owned or licensed by MEEKA WORLD. You may make a temporary copy to view the site. Please don’t copy, publish, adapt or use our content without permission.

12. Third-party Services and Links

We use third-party platforms (e.g., Shopify, payment gateways, couriers). Their terms may apply. We aren’t responsible for third-party sites we link to - please check their policies. 

13. Security

We can’t guarantee the internet is risk-free. Please use your own protections (antivirus, secure networks). We’re not responsible for damage arising from your device/security setup.

14. Report A Problem

If you spot an error, misuse or a technical issue, please contact us so we can help.

C. Legal and Safety

15. Product Design and IP 

Our product designs, patterns, labels and packaging are protected. Please don’t copy, reproduce or commercialise them.

16. Safety and Supervision

• Our tools are designed to support learning and sensory wellbeing, but they aren’t medical devices and don’t replace professional advice.
• Always follow the product care and safety instructions.
• Ensure products are suitable for the user’s age and abilities and always supervise children during use.
• Results vary; what works for one child may not suit another.

17. Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected with these terms, our site, products or services is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order.
• We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g., loss of profit, data, business opportunities), except where the law says we can’t exclude it.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

18. Idemnity

You agree to indemnify us against losses we suffer due to your misuse of the site, breach of these terms, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful conduct.

19. General

• Governing law: Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
• Severability: if a clause is invalid, the rest still applies.
• Assignment: you need our consent to transfer your rights/obligations.
• Entire agreement: this document is our whole agreement about the website and online sales.
• Notices: we may contact you using the email you provided. Emails are taken as received 24 hours after sending unless there’s evidence of failure.

Information on our website or provided with products is general in nature and not medical advice. Please consult your doctor, paediatrician or allied-health professional for guidance about your child’s needs. You’re responsible for selecting suitable products and ensuring competent adult supervision at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree you purchase and use products at your own risk, and you release MEEKA WORLD (and our team) from claims arising from use or misuse of the products, except where we cannot lawfully exclude liability.‘
